off colors

Hi All,

Using the Canon S9000 - printing several 8x10 in color and am getting a
light pink cast to all.

Tried:
Cleaning head
Deep cleaning head
Topping off all tanks
Changing heads (and cleaning with Windex the old one)
Different paper
Different photos
Changed yellow tank

AND - ALL still have the pink cast

I'm at the end of the rope (short to start off with tho)

Any ideas ???

Am off to comp to get all new canon tanks (I am leaning to ink cross
contamination of some sort ???)

BHW - before this happened, I was printing several 11x17 with a LOT of dark
colors ?? I waited 5-10 min between printings

Again - any ideas ??

Will post back when / if the tanks are the answer... in the meantime - what
useable opinions are out there??

Thanks Again,,, John b - Wisconsin Cheesehead - Go Pack !!

First of all, are you using a calibrated monitor? If your monitor is
displaying the complement of pink (whatever that may be), your
adjusted images would naturally come out pink.

Have you profiled your printer/paper combination? A pinkish hue
sometimes is seen when using a paper that doesn't get along well with
the ink you're using. Try converting your image to sRGB (IECxxx)
before printing.

If this Canon has removable head (tanks?), it's probably worth a try.
