% of Items Completed

Hi Everyone,

One day, I am going to have what's called "newsgroup posting rage" and I am
just going to post a screenshot!............................<just kidding>

Ok. I had some wonderful help from Tina who got my tables designed and
relationships established. She also made some basic forms which I stared at
for a couple of days before I finally got my main form made by nesting a few
of the basic forms together for data entry. The data is populating my tables
like they should. Now I am trying to make my queries to base my reports on.

My query basically looks like this and is a combination of 5 of the tables.
There are other employees and other AuditNames for Kathy. The Audit Name
describes the document. The AuditItem describes one of many items on the
document.

Emp AuditName AuditItem Correct
Kathy Blue Card Room # -1
Kathy Blue Card Room # 0
Kathy Blue Card Pt. Label -1
Kathy Blue Card Pt. Label 0

The first line is an audit of proper documentation on the Blue Card and the
first item is Room Number
The second line is an audit of a second Blue Card that Kathy filled out on
the first item from the card
The third line is the second item on the first Blue Card audit
The forth line is the second item on the second Blue Card audit.

I need to report the percentage of time that Kathy filled out the room
number correctly on the Blue Cards that are entered for her which is 50% in
the example above. She also filled out the Pt. Label 50% of the time too.
There will be times when the employees will have 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 audits for
the Same AuditName so the equation will need to factor the number of times
blue cards were audited. The other variable in this is besides the yes and
no, there is a N/A field which is assigned the number 1 and I don't want
that to count against the person in the percentage calculation.

I hope this makes sense. I am using Access 2000. I don't think I can have
the calculation in this query and I will need to eventually have a report
that has an employees name at the top of the report then groups by AuditName
and then below that will have the % of time the items for each AuditName was
done correctly.

Thanks,
Linda

Hi Guys,

I got close to what I want when I tried to make a report so I posted a
question related to this one in there. Queries are too darn hard for me
right now but if someone has figured out what I was talking about and still
thinks they can help me make a query, I would love to learn.

Thanks,
Linda
