OEM CD Install on Non-OEM System

Assuming the purchase an additional license so as to be legal, will my DELL OEM XP Home CD install on non-DELL hardware?



CD Label:

"Operating System Reinstallation CD, Microsoft® Windows® XP Home Edition, Including Service Pack 1, DELL P/N 5W623".

This CD came with DELL Inspiron 8600, September 2003.

How are you going to buy an additional license?
The additional licenses from Microsoft are only available for retail
and not OEM Windows.
Other options should include a CD otherwise their legality is
questionable.

Well I don't know, maybe I'm not. That's why I was asking, to find out.

You can probably get the full copy locally for less on sale.

No. And it is not possible to purchase legitimate additional OEM
licenses by themselves.
