OE in Office XP

I am running Outlook within Office XP and cannot receive
attachments with exe or zip files attached. I know that
there is something in XP that stops your opening
potentially dangerous files but how do you turn it off.
I have tried
Goto Tools, Options
Then goto the Security tab
Uncheck "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened
that could potentially be a virus"
but I don't have the check box option.

Are you using Outlook or Outlook Express?

Sounds like Outllok.

Hello John,

If, in fact, you are using Outlook rather than OE, there is a Registry fix
that allow Outlook to save "unsafe" files to your hard drive.
