ODBC Active

I am working with Access 2003. I use an ODBC driver to link to various
financial tables on a mainframe. From time to time the server crashes. What I
would like to be able to do is to test to make sure the ODBC driver is active
before running a variety of downloads. If it is not then I want to abort the
download process. Does anybody have any code to accomplish this?

Hi,
I would try to open a linked table and check for error, if err=0 - then
server works

Thank you very much. I just finished writing the code. Sometimes the simplest
of solutions don't occur in our minds immediately.
