OBDC connection error on networked Access DB with linked SQL table

I have an application (called PBG) that accesses a SQL database. Database is
on PC#1 and PC#2 can run PBG across my LAN, accessing the SQL database on
PC#1. That works fine and both PC’s can update and use the same database.

On PC#1, I’ve written a MS Access database, with the SQL database linked
tables of the PBG database. On PC#1, I can open and query these tables with
great ease, but when PC#2 opens this Access database, only the MS Access
tables are viewable, the linked tables get an OBDC connection error.

I’ve used the OBDC manager and created File DSN and Machine DSN’s and
neither work. At the end of the wizard that created the DSN’s, there is a
Test Connection feature and they come back with test successful.

I’ve tried using the Linked Tables Manager to select the correct databases
on PC#1, but have not gotten the connection to work.

I assumed that if I was to open this MS Access database on PC#1, then the
OBDC connection that works when on PC#1 would work on PC#2.

Suggestions to get this working on this networked PC (#2) and others I’d
like to allow access to.
