I am running into a problem with Windows XP and an old
(and I mean old) version of Peachtree for DOS. When the
user run this application and goes into a certain function
it comes up with a error stating that it can't open all
the needed files and to check the FILES=XXX setting in the
config.sys file. Well I change the config.sys file to
reflect it recommended setting of 100, reboot and it still
will not open. I even went as far as changing this to 500
and 1000 but still will not work. Does XP have a
different location to set the number of allowed open files
at one time than inside the config.sys file.
This app works fine running Windows 98 with FILES=100 but
will not work in XP or 2000.
