Num Lock deault "On" after Startup

I have changed the setting in the Bios to ON, but after I
get to the Log-on screen after completing the boot-up
sequence, Num Lock shuts itself off. How can I turn this
on and keep it on using Windows 2000 Pro?

I beleive an "F Lock" button is harder to stay on when windows restarts:
I'm using a logitech multimedia-keyboard with this "F lock" button that
toggles the F1 - F12 keys on/off. When it's off (default) nothing happends
when I hits F1 to F12. So it takes a while before I remember to turn the F
lock on. I really wish it could be on by default. Much easier for me.

Installing the drivers doesn't help.
It seems to behave like this independently of the os that runs (win98,
win2k).

Win2K, like its predecessor WinNT, by design, ignores the BIOS
settings for the NumLock key as a standard security feature. (I'm
afraid I can't remember the "security" issue initially addressed.) By
default, the NumLock key is turned off as Win2K starts, and remains
off until someone logs in and initializes a user profile. Win2K will
remember the NumLock's last state, meaning that if you log out with
the NumLock on, it will automatically turn on the next time you log
in; If you log out with the NumLock off, it will be off the next time
you log in.
