I seem to have an unremovable nuisance virus set (17
trojan files), affecting an executable file by the name
of "eleet.exe" which is found in the sys32 folder. My
first question is: does the file eleet.exe even matter to
the system or is that a file I should simply delete?
Second question: the virus set is the IRC\Flood.bi,
flood.e, flood.i, flood.bc, flood.mirc, flood.am.
Since my Windows 2000 Professional came with the PC I own,
I can't quite get an answer directly from Microsoft. I am
hoping one of you will have an answer to whether I just
simply delete that eleet.exe file, or whether there is a
way to remove this virus, which seems to be resistant to
even the latest virus definition and virus scanning
software from Network Associates.
Thank you!
