I recently updated a video driver for my graphics card.
For some reason it didnt take to well to XP so I removed
it (restored). After that, I noticed this software on my
computer by n-CASE (180solutions.com) that I have never
heard of, and I have no idea how it came to be on my
computer. After going through the un-install process for
that (which is quite lengthy plus seems to go in a
circle), I was searching for any of its remaining
software on my computer. Well, under My Documents and
Settings I found two .DAT files that I assumed was
associates of this n-CASE company. I was able to delete
one of the files but the other, ntuser.dat, I wasn't able
to delete/access. I am not even able to scan it with
Norton Anti-Virus. Now ever time I boot up XP I receive
the message "This system has recovered from a serious
error....send error report or dont send" If I send,
Microsoft doesnt have an answer for me. I have un-
installed the most recent of my hardware/software and I
still receive the message. I beleive this to be a virus
of some sort because I cant scan it. Does anyone know if
this is part of XP or is it a new virus? BTW, I had
friends in from Australia (who used my computer) and all
these problems occured shortly after they left....

thanks for reading this long problem :)

ntuser.dat is your user profile, it contains stuff about
your user account and settings. Depending on what the
other file you deleted is/was, you may need to try
creating a new user account and using that instead.

You should be able to scan the ntuser.dat file by logging
in with a different user.
