NTLDR is missing - so is my pw

Help! My son`s pc is displaying "NTLDR is missing" message. Following the
threads above, I have inserted the XP disc to repair XP, but I cannot
remember what the admin Password is !!!!!!!! Is there anything I can do?
Re-booting will lose all of his school info.
