NTFS Log file full: How to flush?

Win2K notebook fails to boot Windows directly after
installing LapLink: gets error
Multiple_IRP_Complete_Requests on a stop screen. The
system will not boot to Windows using any F8 options; the
4 boot disks work and I can get to to Recovery Console.
Ran a CHKDSK /F ok.

I have recent backups but decided to Ghost it now; Ghost
reports that the NTSF logfile is full and needs to be
flushed. How is this done? (I started Ghost with -NTIL
and it's doing fine.) Searching the web Technet came up
with hardly anything and definitely not how.

And is "NTSF logfile full" the likely problem? I have a
fairly recent ERD, but have not had success with them in
the past, so I'm hesitant. Upgrading to XP was
suggested; is this a good fix?

Solutions appreciated; thanks.
