Win 2000 Pro - FDISK and DISKPART both show a partition exists, disk and directory repair programs and older OS bootup disks don't recognize drive C, and the Recovery Console 'dir' command at C:\ returns 'An error occurred during directory enumeration.'. Win 2000 repair service programs cannot locate the current installation. Any ideas or utilities that you know of that may fix the problem, or is the drive going to need reformatting?

Run chkdsk /p in recovery console.
