NT4 domain name with a "."

Hello,

I wondering if an NT4 domain named for
exemple "patato.com" can be in-place upgraded to Windows
2000.

I'm not sure what will happen because of the "."

MS recommends you name your AD domain XXX.XXX (using a dot). You will have
problems NOT using a dot.
