Hello,

I have set up NT backup various times and it never seems to run. In the task
scheduler log all I get is :-

"Daily Backup.job" (NTBACKUP.EXE)
Started 02/02/2005 20:00:02
"Daily Backup.job" (NTBACKUP.EXE)
Finished 02/02/2005 20:02:59
Result: The task completed with an exit code of (2d).

Finished 03/02/2005 20:02:55
Result: The task completed with an exit code of (2d).
"Daily Backup.job" (NTBACKUP.EXE)
Started 04/02/2005 20:00:02

Finished 04/02/2005 20:02:53
Result: The task completed with an exit code of (8023).
"Daily Backup.job" (NTBACKUP.EXE)
Started 07/02/2005 20:00:02
"Daily Backup.job" (NTBACKUP.EXE)
Finished 07/02/2005 20:03:04
Result: The task completed with an exit code of (2d).
"Daily Backupnew.job" (NTBACKUP.EXE)
Started 08/02/2005 20:00:02
"Daily Backupnew.job" (NTBACKUP.EXE)
Finished 08/02/2005 20:03:18
Result: The task completed with an exit code of (8023).

Nothing seems to appear in the backup log either, does anyone know what
these errors mean or have any idea's??

Thanks

Hi Matt,
Are you logged in with administrator or backup operators account? If you are
using a user account,Launch Windows Explorer, Control Panel, high light
Scheduled Tasks, Select "Advanced" from menu and then select "AT Service
Account"
Set it to "System Account" and click OK.

If it still does not work, copy the msconfig.exe file from a windows xp
machine and then run it. Got to startup items tab and disable all the items.
Go to services tab AND MAKE SURE YOU CHECK THE HIDE ALL MICROSOFT SERVICES
OPTION AND THEN CLICK ON DISABLE ALL. Now try to take the backup. If this is
successful, open the msconfig again and check , by enabling all the services
one by one, so as to know which service is causing the problem.
