NSW 2005: Can I verify that NAV is working?

I haven't found something in a while, and this reminds me of when a virus
had corrupted my NAV 2003's ability to find anything.

Does Symantec (or someone else) supply an integrity check of some kind? A
self diagnostic, or even MD5 checksum or similar?

THANKS!

I've seen this a few times--Don't make this mistake:

Dwight: "This thing is wildly available."
Smedly: "Did you mean wildly, or /widely/ ?"
Dwight: "Both!", said while nodding emphatically.

Dwight was exposed to have made a grammatical
error and tries to cover it up by thinking
fast. This is so painfully obvious that he
only succeeds in looking worse.
