OK, so now that I got the exchange server off of the mail icon in the control
panel, I don't know what to do next. I use Yahoo as my e-mail account and
now need to know how to put my e-mail from yahoo into the acct. I chose the
option of http due to using yahoo. I followed the instructions but don't
know what to put into the url part of the server info. Any help will be
greatly appreciated-I am new to outlook and will need to get ahold of this
program for work

You get access to Yahoo's POP3 and SMTP server when you *pay* them;
otherwise, all you get with a freebie account is their webmail service.
Some Yahoo domains still offer free access to their mail servers but not
many still do. If you don't want to pay Yahoo for their mail server access,
you can use YahooPOPs with their freebie webmail service which lets your
e-mail client connect to that freebie account.

If you have a paid account, follow their help web pages on setting up an
account in your e-mail client. If you have a freebie account, either decide
on using their webmail interface via browser or decide on using YahooPOPs
(yahoopops.sourceforge.net).

I did not bother to delineate each and every Yahoo domain that still
provides free access to their POP3 and SMTP servers. I already mentioned
that some Yahoo domains still permit free access to the mail servers but
many, if not most, do not.

I did try to open a freebie account using Yahoo UK but was rejected. I
suspect they check the IP address to ensure it is within their region.
