Notepad question

Notepad did something weird today. It's possible I've just never noticed it
before.

I am using Notepad (XP) with Word Wrap enabled. Today I printed a textfile
created with Notepad where some of the lines were long enough to wrap and
others were not. The wrapped lines were printed in double space, while the
shorter lines were printed in single space.

Is this something Notepad automatically does with wrapped lines, or did I
inadvertently toggle something to start doing it? If so, how can I stop the
double spacing? It makes the document much harder to read.

Thanks!

Looking at the options available in Notepad I do not spot what that might
be, but experiment with FILE|PAGE SET UP.

As an alternative, the free EditPad Lite is straightforward yet far superior
to Notepad.

Check it out, and it's likely you will never use Notepad again.

Don't allow word wrap to wrap on it's own. At around 80 characters, press ENTER to create your
own linefeed.

You might also be able to use Word Pad instead
