Notepad Missing!

My notepad is missing! I cannot open the program from the
start menu, and whenever I open a saved notepad document,
this pops up:
Windows cannot find NOTEPAD.EXE
This program is needed for opening files of
type 'Text Document'
Location of NOTEPAD.EXE

C:\

When I do a Find File search, I cannot find Notepad.bak
or notepad.exe

Can anyone help me get Notepad back? How do I save it?

If it shows up, create a shortcut
