not showing the search option is start menu in windows xp

i have facing a problem in windows xp with some virus attecked now the folder
option is not showing in folder and also not showing the search option in the
start menu.i have try the toolbar properties to cheack the search option also
from the the search option is hide.how to i repair the registry free is the
any solution to repair the registry freely by the help of microsoft help.

The PC Tools site has many registry tweaks. Some users will push you towards
Kelly's Corner but be aware some of the registry keys contain other junk
which you wouldn't want to be importing into your registry. So, my advice to
you is don't use her tweaks as you don't know what you are importing.
Besides, you are wanting to change keys from 1 to 0 not import a huge bunch
or rubbish
