"Not Responding" error when deleting Temp Files

R

Rob Norris

I am trying to erase my Temporary Internet Files (cache),
but I keep getting a "Not Responding" error every time I
try. I have had this problem before, but I do not
remember how it's done, except that it involves
the "smartdrv" command in the DOS prompt.

I am running Win98SE on my machine.

Thanks in advance...

Boot to DOS.

type deltree temp and press enter.

Here are other commands.

deltree recent

deltree applog

deltree recycle (it might be recycled)

deltree cookies

deltree history

You can also purge your swap file by typing del win386.swp and press
enter.

To exit DOS type exit and press enter.

You also can type win and press enter.
