Not recognising camera through 1394 card

I ahe recently taken off my NLE suite(Adobe 6.5 Premier)
for various reasons. When It ried to load it again XP
home edition came up with file not seen rnbovdd.dll
installable virtual device driver failed dll initiliztion

HAve tried to load Avid 3.5 NLE and the same problem ...
just does not recognise my 1394 camera connection and it
did before OK I have a Lacie 40gig protable firewire HD
which loads OK and can use it but notthe camera as it did
before. Any thohughts please
