not receiving emails from ONE specific email address in OUTLOOK 20

I have a problem where I am not getting email from ONE certain email address.
This person has sent me emails to ALL my email addresses that Outlook
downloads from the various email clients, and I never get them.
I do not have any filters activated in Outlook.
Please also note, that everything was working fine until a few months ago.
The last email I rec'd from her was in April. What has changed since then???
All I can think of, is that I transferred all my PST folders to a new laptop
from my older PC....and in July I installed Office 2002 over my Office 2000.

I have had her send me an email to all 3 of my email addresses, and I have
rec'd it, but only IF I am logged on directly to my email provider (i.e.
Yahoo mail and Telus.net), AND when I log out, the message(s) appear in my
INBOX..

This is the only way I get them. If I do not login to the email client
first, it never does appear....Lost in Cyberspace forever!!!

Your input would be appreciated.

Are you saying you must log into the web interface on your ISP's mail server
before you can get mail in Outlook?

Brian, I must logon to the ISP's mail server, with OUTLOOK closed. I then
have the email sent to my email addresses, , where it then appears in the
ISP's Webmail.
Once I exit, and open OUTLOOK the message is then retrieved by outlook.
That is the only way the messages from the ONE sender are getting retrieved.

If I do not do the above, the messages sent from the email address in
question go someplace, but not to my Outlook.
The first thought was that it was a filtering problem, but I have no filters.
I am concerned though that somehow some invisible filter was created when I

Your feedback would be appreciated..
THE EMAIL ADDRESS in from my mother, and she thinks I am ignoring
her....sheesh...

If you have to "have the email sent to my email addresses", where was it
being send before you do this? How could it arrive at your mailbox on the
ISP's server if it wasn't already addresses to your address?

You're description is not clear enough, to me, at least, to tell exactly
what manipulation you are making in order for the messages to be delivered.

Whoa...whoa...Let me explain.

Brian, since I discovered that I wasn't getting emails in My Outlook inbox
from this one email address, I decided to run some tests to see how far those
sent emails actual did get...
So, I got the originator's login and password for their own ISP webmail, and
I created a test email to be sent from that that specific problematic email
address, to my 3 different emails addresses.
At first, went sent, I checked my Outlook inbox, and nothing appeared...

So, again I sent another test email, from this person's ISP Webmail, but
this time Outlook was not open. Instead, I opened up Explorer and went to my
own ISP's webmail, where I DID SEE THE EMAIL SENT....( i.e. Yahoo mail).
I read the email, and exited....I then opened up Outlook and bang....it was
retrieved from my ISP webserver...appearing in my inbox. Ok good....but...

THIS IS THE ONLY WAY I CAN RETRIEVE EMAILS SENT FROM THAT ONE ADDRESS>.
**IF I have outlook opened, the emails do not appear when sent from this one
sender...
I hope that clears things for you....
And I look forward to anybody's assistance in this matter.

That person has a trusting soul.

Do you mean you saw the email received? Obviously if you're sending it from
the other person's account on that person's ISP, you can't see it sent on
your account on your ISP.

I read the email, and exited....I then opened up Outlook and
bang....it was retrieved from my ISP webserver...appearing in my
inbox. Ok good....but...

No where, however, did you say you logged into your webmail account while
Outlook was open. to see if you saw the messages arrive. You used your
webmail while Outlook was closed and then, after you saw the messages
arrive, you started Outlook and it downloaded the messages that you saw
arrive. I can well imagine Outlook downloading messages that you know are
in your ISP mailbox. That sounds normal. Now, start Outlook, log into your
webmail account, and send a message from the other person's account. Watch
your mailbox with the web browser. Does the message ever arrive?

Brian, I did as you suggested, leaving OUTLOOK opened, and while watching my
own ISP's webmail, I sent a message from the other person's webmail....
and the messages appeared both in my WEBMAIL inbox and in my Outlook's Inbox
(Outlook was about 3 minutes later though).....

So now, I don't know.
So then I tried to send another email from the other person's ISP Webmail,
with only my Outlook opened (not my ISP's Webmail), and shazam, it
worked...?????

So, for the life of me, I do not know why I do not get her emails when sent
to any of my 3 email addresses...
I am going to ask her to send some messages through her own Outlook again,
and I'll see if they are retrieved by my OUTLOOK.
Because as far as I am concerned, it worked fine...
Hopefully, I 'll catch her online, so I can have my own ISP Webmail opened
as she sends the messages...so I can follow the trail..

I'll get back to you after I get her to send some emails from her own
Outlook...
