Not enough quota is available to process this command.

I haven't seen this before on any system. I am installing XP on a friend's
computer - I was provided with drivers and the OS CDs - and after getting XP
up and going, installing AVG and ZoneAlarm I decided to download the updates
including SP1 and SP2.

Right at the first bootup after SP2 seemed to be finalized (installed) I get
a log on screen prompting me for the Administrator password (didn't create
any other accounts) and as soon as I hit Enter, I get:

"The system cannot log you on due to the following error: Not enough quota
is available to process this command."

I've NEVER seen this before. Same thing happens if I try to boot into safe
mode. My only option is to turn off the computer.

Is there any fix other than reinstalling again?

Thanks,
Mike

Disable antivirus, and zone alarm. The windows firewall is enough for that.

Hi Mark,

I couldn't do this. As I had posted, I could not actually
even get to the Windows desktop, whether it was in normal
or safe modes. Is there a way I could have forced my way
in?

It turns out that there was a bad stick of memory and based
on test results, it's likely that in installing the updates, something
SLIGHTLY screwy was written to the drive that basically
crippled the OS.

I've replaced the stick, reformatted the drive and I think that all
will be fine in the end.
