I have received several attachments in one go. I can open all but one of them.
It is a Microsoft Word Document 681kb
When I click on 'open' I get the following message:
'There is not enough memory to open file'
I have deleted all the *.tmp files

Please help!!

Many thanks

What you've received is corrupt. Some email systems tend to do this to Word
documents. Ask the sender to zip the file and send it again.

Hi Jezebel,

The sender did send the files again but I don't think the original was
corrupt. It was my lack of knowledge! My computer has both Microsoft Works
and Microsoft Office.
I didn't realise that Microsoft Works was the default program. I was trying
to open a Word document in Works which it didn't like. My son is home from
university so I mentioned the problem to him and within five minutes he had
solved the problem. It's taken me a week! - but I've learnt a few things
along the way.
For example, to be able to receive the attachment in the first place I had
to go into my SPAM killer and add the sender to the 'friends' list.

Thanks for your help

Karen
