Not building A working CD ROM Boot Disk

I have followed the tutorial for building a cd boot disk.
However, I was unable to bet hd2iso to work for me. Did i need a cd rom
image in the drive for hd2iso to work?

So I made a bootable image using nero 6 rom burning. I then applied the fix
for elto name to the image file.

I was unable to verify the write filter because I do not seem to be able to
get a command prompt installed into the os. So I just ran the prep program.

I have burned this image to cd ad it showes the startup screen then I get
the blue screen of death.

I noticed when it boots ot says nero bool loader...

Do I need to assign the build drive letter as D: instead of C:? Does the
prep program take care of this?

Why can I not just copy the runtime files over to a cd and burn it as
bootable? The elto name?

Thanks,

hd2iso is XPe image independent and it can create iso file from empty FS if
you wish.

Are you following my guides from this NG and using my tools for this?

You should always verify that EWF is working. There are only few of us that
can make EWF work for sure when blindfolded.

prep program should take care of this, but this depend on EWF state and some
problems with etprep tool.
You can examine offline registry system. hive and see it all registry values
are as they should be.

This depend on what you mean by just copy yhe runtime files over :-(
You must make some sort of HDD MBR disk image not just file copy.

Ok, so I must run the check before the final prep.

How then do I add the command shell to my build so that I can type command
in the run box; letting me see the output of the test ect ?

And while I at it how do I add right click support (for properties of files
ect)?

Ans how do I add the network connections (under communications)?

By adding "CMD - Windows Command Processor" component.

Ans how do I add the network connections (under communications)?

Add Netshell component.
