Not appearing online to some contacts

Hello my friend recently came to this prob and i want to help her with it. I
have read the previouse post and found that this question as gone unoticed or
rather the one who posted it did not get it answered whether he fixed it or
not it stands that this prob is occuring to her. She logs on just fine but
some of her her friends inclusive of me where unable to see her as online
while others can. She has checked her status and has made sure she is up to
date with latest MSN version. If anyone can please let me know what to tell
her please reply.

try this:
open messenger - sign in - go to tools - select options - privacy - check if
their names are listed on the allow list and not listed in the block list( if
listed here their names must deleted)....check if the box "only people on my
allow list ......." is uncheck(if she want to everyone to see her when she
connects) or check the box(only people from the allow list can see her)
