"Not a valid Win32 application"

Hello. Just downloaded Vista RC1 64-bit version and I can't get it to
install. When I run the DVD is says "Setup cannot run on this version of the
Operating System. To install Windows please try booting from the install
media." Then when I click setup, it says "Not a valid Win32 application."

I am running XP Home SP2. How do I get it to install?

Have you tried booting to the Vista DVD?

This can be done by changing your BIOS to boot from CD/DVD. Once your system
starts it will load the Windows Vista install setup from the DVD and you
should be good to go!

You cannot run the 64-bit installer from 32 bit windows to the best of my
knowledge.

Boot from the DVD and you should be good to go.

I also don't think you can upgrade a 32 bit Windows to a 64 bit Windows.
