NortonAntivirus and MS "disagreement"

As of late, whenever I boot the computer (Dell, P4, XP),
Also, whenever I start WORD or Excel,
the following NORTON dialog box appears:

"Norton AntiVirus 2005 does not
support the Repair Feature, please
uninstall and install"

Without thinking - I un installed and installed
the Norton AntiVirus 2005 - no effect..

Do they want me to un installed and installed MS Office?
I rather not..
Windows XP ...no way...

Any idea?
