Norton keeps being elimanated from startup

Norton fails to load sometimes on startup.It is removed somehow from the misconfig screen. I go to a restore point and it will be in the msconfig file.
I have a lot of trouble of running Bearshare and sometimes have to reboot. When I reboot Norton startup command for msconfig is gone. What is going on. I have run virus checkers and spyware programs with nothing showing.

if there is problem with norton then unistall/reinstall that, update
virus definitions.

Remove nortons.
