My computor starts just fine, it comes up with 2 choices 1 for mysel
the other for my wife. Once i click on either choice it starts to loa
up all of things in the startup file with one exception, it also open
up the folder for Norton internet security 2005, and shows all th
folders. That is as far as it goes and when I click to close the scree
it does go away. This is not in the start up from programs. How can
stop this from opening

It must be in the startup programs.

How to Troubleshoot By Using the Msconfig Utility in Windows XP
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=310560

Check in Msconfig for any oddities.
(Start-Run-MSCONFIG-Startup tab)
If you cannot see anything in Msconfig then:

Start-Run-msinfo32
Click the + beside Software Environment to expand.
Click Startup Programs
Ctrl+A to Select All, Ctrl+C to Copy.
Paste that information in your message.

Alan I found a line at the bottom of the startup programs under Advanced
tool chk......Norton\Norton etc. etc., so I disabled it and restarted the
computor and came up with a error message telling me to revert back to
normal start mode so I did and it seemed to fix it!!??? But I included
the startup anyways for your viewing , maybe there is something here that
may have caused it to happen. awaiting your reply.......Steve

Please read my response again.
I did not ask you to post anything to a web site and what you have
there is not what I asked for.
Please include previous parts of this thread so I and others know what
you are talking about.
