Newer version ( 2004/2005 ) seem to be easier to get rid of
than earlier flavors. Basically, you remove NAV, then reboot
then remove Live Update & Live Reg. Finally, do a system
wide search (All Files, System, Hidden) for "Symantec" you'll
probably find 2 folders - Delete both.
Unfortunately, Symantec leaves Services and Registry keys
behind after uninstalling. Symantec does offer a stand alone
remover program RNav, RNis and SymClean. Each is set for
a specific program. It's offered as a cleanup utility. Best to
search Symantec's support site for the version/utility for your
specific program & version.
Because Symantec/Norton uninstalls can be problematic if
you have imaging software capability - Take a System Image
before you start. (Just in Case).
Both your wallet & your PC will thank you for relieving them
of Symantec/Norton products - Good Luck.
