NORTON ANITVIRUS AND ANTI-SPYWARE

I haven't noticed problems with several versions of Norton Antivurs and
Microsoft Antispyware.

Which Norton version do you have, and what do you find is going wrong?

Hi,

This is a problem that I have also with Norton
Systemworks 2003 (+ updates), with the Norton Anti-Virus
version 9.05.15.

I THINK (or at least I HOPE) that the definitions are
uploaded. However, it is not possible run a scan or see
the status, etc. When I click on the Anti-Virus, what I
get is the main menu ONLY, with a white space where the
anti-virus scan information should be.

I had tried uninstalling the Antispam, but that did not
help. However, on reinstalling the Anti-spam, it seems
that the previous installation had left a residue of
files since the installation had found the most recent
scan that I had done.

By the way, I can no longer find the Microsoft Windoes
Updates page, and apart from the download, there does not
seem to be any usable reference to this Antispamware on
the Microsoft website.

Help!

Same what? Antispamware is keeping your antivirus definitions from showing
properly?

I'm lost--maybe start over from the beginning.

I know that some Norton Systemworks versions apparently keep some features
of Microsoft Antispyware from operating correctly.

I don't know of any interactions in the reverse--i.e. problems with the
Norton apps, related to having Microsoft Antispyware installed.

The correct place to report or learn about such issues would be Norton's
support mechanisms, of course.
