Don't understand why you are posting here. This group is for performance and
maintenance issues with the Windows XP operating system and *NOT* 3rd-party
applications installed thereon. If you are having issues with Norton you
will need to contact Symatec technical support or post in a Symantec
newsgroup or forum.

Miss Persnickity: Why are you berating the users of your forum? I had no
idea your forum existed until I did a search to help me with Norton-related
issues with XP SP2. Now, as a forum user, I have learned that others have
similar issues and I can be better informed about "my" issues. Would you
rather just everyone post "I installed XP SP2 on my system and it works
GREAT?" Or would you rather have a forum that people actually use to help
them? Isn't this an appropriate forum/resource ... as none of us seemed to
have this problem UNTIL we installed SP2? So doesn't it make sense as a
problem-solving technique to go to an XP SP2 forum for help as a first
reference? It wouldn't surprise me that if I went to Norton, found a forum
about these issues that they recommended totally disabling the Windows
Security Center ... is that what you'd rather we all do? Or would you rather
provide open discussion so that people who have taken the SP2 step to openly
discuss their issues and make intelligent decisions based on the information
they've gathered?

Thank you to the posters who asked the questions ... I appreciate it!
