Nortel VPN software doesn't work

Hi All,

I am trying to install and work Nortel VPN Client(Remote
Access Manager and Tunnel Guard) on my XPe SP1 image.

I faced two problems at this triing.

1) When I install this software, Error messages were
diaplayed which notify bellow 3 files ware not found.

C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\ipsecw2k.sys
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\eacfilt.sys
C:\WINDOWS\system32\eacfilt.dll

These files were not found at XPe component database. But
these files were installed in case of standard XP
Professional Machine. I think that these files are Nortel
VPN client modules and installed automatically.

Why these modules ware not installed on my XPe target?

2) Because of above phenomenon, I copied 3 files to my
XPe image beforehand and install Nortel VPN Software. I
could install successfully.
But, I can not connect remote VPN gateway. I found bellow
error in the event viewer at every time when I execute
VPN software.

EventID:2504
Description:
The server could not bind to the transport
\Device\NetBT_Tcpip_{XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX....}.

At same Hardware platform which installed standard XP
Professional, It works OK with no problem.

Please give me advice...

Hi All,

I give additional information.

I already added bellow three components.

Netbios Driver
NetBIOS Interface
Netbios over TCP/IP

Thanks,

Yasutaka,

I don't have binaries of the Nortel VPN Client so I can't help you much here but first standard question from XPe FAQ: did you check
the driver dependencies with DependencyWalker? Are they all in your image?

After all, you can try XPProEmulation image to see if the client would work with all possible XPe software components in place.

Btw, the files you mentioned are parts of the Nortel client, but not standard XP Pro/ XPe database.
