Normal Remedies not working Blank Calendar SysRestore

Problem: System restore Calendar is Blank

Description: When I try to restore I can't find any
dates to restore to because the restore calendar is blank.
Checking _restore folders indicates that SR is recording
store points. Plenty of disk space -alloted 12% of 40GB-
_restore files using only 2.5 GB. MS Knowledge base
remedies were tried (modify reg keys; SR troubleshooting)
to no avail. (Triple checked keys/values.) Tried Safe
Mode too.

Last known to be working on 8/4/2004. When needed to
turn off SR to remove Virus per Norton remedy.
Immediately turned SR back on and downloaded security
patches/updates from MS. Have since installed XP SP2.
Still Blank SR Calendar. SR files were modified on 8/4
with whatever I download or a virus. Suspect corrupt
files. Would like to try to reload all SR files. Does
anyone know how? Should I be looking at other fixes?

When you turn off system restore it deletes all restore
points under "system Volume Information"

therefore your restore points are gone.
