Nonpaged pool empty

Ever since deploying a new Win2000 server (Compaq DL380
G2) it eventually gets a 2019 error and needs rebooting.
I've had little success identifying a process/application
that might be the culprit. Using PerfMon I can't find
anything that tracks along with Memory:Nonpaged Pool Bytes
which grows until the 2019 happens. Sometimes it jumps,
sometimes steadily climbs, other times it is flat. The
server is mainly a network file server for end user data
(CAD drawings, spreadsheets, Word docs, you name it).

I've installed SP3 and SP4, increased the pagefile, turned
off various services, etc. trying to find a cause. Could
it be device drivers or other system processes? This
server is connected to a Compaq Storage Works SAN. I have
documented all the evidence and can attach it via e-mail
if someone has time to review it. It is too much to list
here. (Thought I'd be able to attach it to a posting).

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

Thank you for posting!

One thing we can try is to boot the system into Safe Mode with Network.
Then test to see if the problem persists. What is the result? If the
problem is resolved at this point, it indicates that the problem is caused
by an application, or a service, or a driver that is loaded in normal mode,
but not in safe mode. Based on my experience, some incompatible
applications can cause simliar issues.

Hope this helps. Thank you!
