Non-updateable query issue

I didn't misunderstand at all. I was trying to inject a little humor into the
conversation. Elbonians are from Dilbert.

As much as I am into technology, I find that because we are communicating
more and more with our fingers, rather than our mouths, we are developing a
tendancy to get sloppy with our grammar and syntax. Especially people in
their mid twenties and younger. My biggest pet peeve is the substitution or
your for you're, as in "your really helpful". This is no slam on you, because
you are obviously bright enough to have figured out my real question. But it
took me a couple of times through your sentence beginning with sorry, to
figure out where the capital letters, commas and periods should be.

I do appreciate your help. If, on the rare occasion I post here again, I
hope you are the first to see the post and respond. It will save me a whole
lot of time and aggravation.

Thanks,

Steve

Gee Dave, thanks for that. It looks like all the efforts you have
been making to hone your people skills are really strating to pay
off.

I have very fine people skills, but I can't abide people who
oversell their expertise with the development platform from which I
make my living. If someone is getting paid to program in Access,
they'd better know what the hell they are doing.

You don't seem to know much at all about Access. And that devalues
all professional Access developers.
