non-paged memory errors

Doug Stichler

Have been experiencing once a month problems where we start getting
non-paged memory errors. At one site in particular happens at night.
Sometimes around 7PM other times around 2-3AM. Happened last 4 months.
Memory actually looks to be fine. I even started up performance logs after
the 2nd time and nothing seems to have a leak and non-paged memory is
staying consistent and the numbers seem to be low average use and maximum
use not much more than the average. These numbers stay consistent even after
the the non-paged error occurs.

There is the knowledge base article
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;833266

Would like to know if there is more info on how to determine this to be the
probable cause or something else. At this point it doesn't seem to be our
app but an OS problem.

Any help greatly(and I MEAN GREATLY) appreciated

You don't say what you've already tried.
If it were me, I'd do the following:

1) Delete Temporary Internet Files
Control Panel --> Internet Options

2) Make sure Antivirus definitions are up to date on your antivirus
program and run a complete scan.

3) Run a complete spyware scan on your machine using a product such as
"Adaware" or "Spybot Search & Destroy"

If doing this hasn't solved your problem, post again.

Hi, Wohn say good considerations.
I have experienced same problems with the Intel PROSET software, used to
team NIC. If you want to use this sw, you can try to update it (the latest
version is 9.0).
Check also the AV compatibility ...

Regards.
