Non Changeable Tool Bar

Would anybody have a clue as to how I change my tool bar
and get it back to the way it was in the past. Recently
noticed that all options are greyed out hence I cannot
change the appearence..... This I think maybe part due to
the fact that somebody in my household downloaded Kazaa
and that in turn has stuck that ISearch toolbar and
another on explorer. Failing that is it possible to
actually de-install explorer and re-install ??
look forward to hearing back

best wishes

Hi,

Kazza is a program supported by Adware. You can't uninstal the advertising
without uninstalling Kazza. However, you should note that there are a lot of
free, or non-ad-supported peer-sharing programs available.

Once you have picked one, and you have uninstalled KaZaa, try the following
to get rid of your programs:

Download AdAware, an ad/spy ware program remover. You can download AdAware
from:

http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/

Once you download and install the program, ensure that you have updated it
with the latest definition. This will ensure that you will be protected against
the latest versions of such programs.

You can get rid of i-search through the following page:

http://www.pchell.com/support/click2findnow.shtml

This specifically deals with how to remove i-search. Included in the
article is a link to a removal utility.

Further, download CoolWebShredder, a utility that will completely remove
other varient programs, and should restore functionality. You can download CWS
from:

http://www.zerosrealm.com/downloads/CWShredder.zip

You should also read the following:

http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm

In regards to the grey'd out tool bar, consider the following list of registry
patches to fix the appropriate problem:

Regards,

Altrus

You may have spyware that got installed on your computer
from Kazaa. To get rid of the spyware, download Spybot
or Ad-Aware and install. I did the same thing.
