Node Type Unknown --- in XP home

i think i might have found problem as to why i am having problems...

but all solutions refer to changing node type ..

if i look at HL Loc Mach|sys|CuCo\Ser|NetBT\Parameters

the line Node type is missing?

any body any the wiser?

Ian,

The relevant Value is in registry key [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SYSTEM\
CurrentControlSet\ Services\ NetBT\ Parameters\] (spaces added to make it
readable). You could be looking at 1 of 2 values - "DHCP Node Type", or "Node
Type".
