Hi.
My computer has been reset back to the factory settings after major
problems. All drivers etc have been installed and are showing to be working
ok. However, i seem to have lost all my windows sounds! I have no startup,
shutdown, notification sounds etc, and no sounds in msn messenger or any
other messengers, although media player and other sounds seem to be fine.
When i try to test the windows sounds i get a message that says windows
cannot play the sound as my sound card may be in use, even though i am not
currently using any other programmes or applications that use sound.
I'm at a loss what to do next as i dont want to mess things up after working
weeks to get it all back running again.
Do i need to install other drivers? If so where would i go to get them?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
