No video capture

When trying to attempt video capture device on Windows
Movie Maker, it will not recognize my Sony Digital 8
Handycam model DCR-TRV310. I keep getting "Windows Movie
Maker has encountered a problem and needs to close".
Error code appears to be OXC 0000005.

I see that several other people are having the same
problem. Any solution? Thanks

hi glenn, my name is adam, i have the sony handy cam
model #ccd trv108 and it won't even recognize that its
there my only option in record is audio only video is
there but it's shadowed, it's unclickable. i connect
camera to laptop both by s-video. any help is great thx,
