No support for 24h-clock.

Hi!

When trying to set the scan-scheduler to a time past 12 AM
in a 24h environment (for those who dont know: this is the
international standard time format without the AM/PM
stuff), the scheduler automatically adjusts to a 12h clock
again, assuming AM.

Reproduce: "Select your spyware schedule scan times",
choose a time like '19:00:00'. click 'update schedule'.
"... runs at:" is set to '7:00 AM'. Should be '7:00 PM', or
even better the time displayed in the system-locale. (my
system runs on the de-DE locale)

Greetings,

By Bill Sanderson:

I've dug into this bug, as follows:

Users in locales where the default clock is a 24 hour format will find that
they cannot set scheduled scan times in the afternoon.

This can be worked around by selecting a time format which uses 12 hour
format rather than 24 hour.

This is on the Time tab, and a working format is: h:mm:ss tt

A non-working format is: any of the choices with a CAPITAL H at the
beginning.

This isn't my discovery, it was posted by others here, but I've done some
testing:

1) I set my language to English (United Kingdom) afternoon settings failed
(default time is 24 hour.) Reset time to 12 hour, and afternoon settings
worked.

2) I set my language to English (United States) Default time setting is 12
hour. Scheduling scans in the afternoon works fine. Change just the time
settings to a 24 hour choice, and you can no longer set up a scheduled
scanin the afternoon.

This bug appears to me to be new in build 614.

Click the time tab.

Hi!

Thanks for the headsup.

Unfortunately, the suggested workaround is not acceptable
for the average customers living in areas where there is
nothing except the 24h clock. It's like telling british
folks to use SI units instead of their imperial ones. (OK,
12h-24h conversion is way easier than imperial-SI, but
hey.. you know how tenaciously yards are sticking around ;)

I found if you change your system clock to 12 hr format,
set the schedule, then change the time back to 24 hr
format it works! The schedule stays at the evening time
that was set in the schedule, even though it shows in 12
hr format!

Peter, that did the trick. Cheers!

It's ugly, certainly, but changing to a 12 hour clock for long enough to set
the schedule doesn't seem totally unreasonable to me.

This is one of the wartier issues in the beta--it isn't really a major
issue, but it is probably seen by the largest number of users.
