Okay. Recently my computer was severly infected with adware, spyware and
viruses. I rebooted the computer and everything is as good as new. However,
there is but one problem. My computer will not play any sound of any sort.
When I enter 'Sounds and Audio Devices' under Control Panel, it says right at
the top to the right of the speaker symbol, 'No Audio Device'. I have been
trying to fix this problem by reinstalling audio drivers that are already in
my computer but not yet installed by using 'Add Hardware'. I am not sure if I
need a driver that can playback MIDI's, but if I do, when I tried installing
a MIDI audio driver, its IRQ number was the same as my 'Microsoft
ACPI-Compliant System'. If I change the MIDI driver's IRQ number, it will not
work, and I am unable to change the ACPI's. My audio card is installed into
my motherboard, so nothing much I can do about the card itself. If someone
could please help me to get my computer to play sound again, I greatly
apprechiate it and thank you for your time.
