No sound on one end of msn messenger

Edo Driessen

I just set up a new computer from scratch. Everything
works except: msn messenger 6.0.

I can connect fine with any of my messenger contacts,
they just dont hear me in a voice conversation. I see my
sound bar moving, I see my microphone bar moving, but the
other side doesnt receive any sound. This happens with
every contact I try to have an audio conversation with.

I used the audio tuner and it gave no problems. I used
the hardware test under control panel/sound, this also
said everything was ok. I used two usb headsets (labtech
and logitech), I used my audigy 2 with an analogue
microphone....still no success.

My panda antivirus firewall is switched off, my windows
firewall is switched off. I connected my lan connection
of the motherboard directly to the adsl modem (bypassing
my d-link 614+ rooter), still no success. I downgraded to
microsoft messenger 5, no success. I formated my
harddisks and just installed windows, my graphics driver,
my lan driver and msn messenger, still no success. The
other side just wont hear me.

My system specifications are:

asus p4c 800-e (with intel on board 10/100/1000 mb lan)
p4c 2,6 ghz (@3400)
1000 MB OCZ pc 4000 gold
audigy 2 internal soundblaster
teac dvd player 40/16 speed
a-open cd burner 52/24/52 speed
samsung floppy black
nec 1300 black dvd burner
Maxtor 2 x 80 gigabyte sata in intel raid configuration
powercolor radeon 9800 pro 128 mb
Windows xp, sp1, with ALL UPGRADES INSTALLED

I am kind of running out of options here and am in
serious need of some help. Funny thing is that AOL
instant messenger works JUST FINE. This programm however
has a crappy sound quality, so I would like to use msn
messenger like i have always done on the computers I have
built before. Hopefully somebody will be able to help me
out,

Edo
