No sound-Help!

I have never had a problem with sound before but suddenly the sound has
disappeared.I checked Audio devices and it stated that there was no audio
device I checked the connections to the two loudspeakers and they were OK
I checked my Skype phone and the audio worked perfectly
What has happened and can anyone suggest a remedy?

Hello,

What is the sound card that you are using? Look for a Drivers CD that should
have come with your computer, insert it and follow instructions to install
the
sound card drivers.

Alternatively, post back the model of the computer and we can try to locate
it
for you.

Thanks for your help
I don't have a Drivers CD with my Dell Dimension 1100 Desktop but I have a
Drivers CD for my Dell Inspiron 1100 Laptop
Would that do the Job?

Go to the Dell website and get the proper sound drivers for your
desktop.
