no shutdown or reset button

When I click on the start button the "shutdown"
and "reset" buttons are gone.
The "Log Off" button is still there though.
Any ideas?

Are you logged in as a standard user?

If you CTRL+ALT+DEL can you see Shutdown?

From the Start Run command type gpedit.msc

Chances are you have hidden them using system policy. Use the GPEdit to turn
off the hidden function.
