Did you try repairing your Office installation stuff? Right now I am running Office 2002 (XP) with sp3 installed. Sometimes important things can get overwritten in registry when you add or remove programs. So it has been my experience to simply open add/remove programs, click on Office and repair my installation.
It may be necessary to reinstall the extra stuff.

Here are a couple things to check out:

- Did you recently change the location or permissions of your User
Templates folder? Take a look under Tools/Options/File Locations and
check the location of your User Templates folder. Since an option of
the wizard is to create a new template it will create a "Legal
Pleadings" folder in your User Templates for the template. If you do
not have the correct permissions for this folder then that can cause
the error you describe.

- If you have Norton AV then go to Norton Options and in the
Miscellaneous section turn off "Enable Office Plug-in".

Please post all follow-up questions to the newsgroup. Requests for
assistance by email can not be acknowledged.
