No results from search in Discussion web

I have added a Discussion web to an existing web. Index server on Win2003 is
running. I can search and find results using the search form from Index
services. I note that FP has add useindexserver="1" which I realize is
telling it not to use Index server. I added to the same page the search web
component and it works fine with no instruction not to use index server!

Any ideas why? Any setting to stop FP doing this with the Discussion web
wizard or is this a know issue which I have to work around?

Thanks

"1" tells the extensions to use Index Server. Under Windows 2003 server, your only search option is
to use Index Server and that is controlled by a registry entry, not the setting.

Thanks Thomas.

My question is "Why when adding the discussion web does it add the
instruction not to use index server? When I manually add the Search
component it doesn't add that instruction and it works perfectly! Is this a
bug in the discussion web wizard?

Thanks

Sound like a bug.
